Thank you so much for all your free time in making fabulous podcasts for three years. They have changed my life and in a big way. I have changed my job to an active job working in an Arboretum from sitting behind the computer designing kitchens and baths. I would pay a few dollars to keep it going. Ann

I just started listening to this podcast mid may.....only to listen to the final podcast first! I'm working my way through all the episodes and have learned so much. Too bad there's only a limited amount, but then again, maybe it's better to end on an up note. Thanks Dr Monte, you've really helped me change my lifestyle for the better.

Dr. Monte: You have been such an inspiration to me over the past 18 months. I will so miss your analysis, and explanation in lay terms, of relevent scientific studies. I feel, some weeks, as though I am in a college level class -- and learning new exciting information! You should be very proud of the level of quality that you have maintained over 150 episodes -- not the typical non-sponsored podcast at all. I hope you come back stronger than ever -- looking forward to seeing what you do.

Oh no Dr. Monte, I am so sad you are gone because there would be a really good topic for a podcast, the OBESE PARADOX. I think it's really misleading

Aw Dr Monte I'm sad to hear that this is your last podcast. I've really enjoyed listening to you and your philosophy on health and your ability to breakdown serious scientific medical studies into laymens terms. Thank you so much for all your hardwork and I do look forward to checking out your next project. You rock.

Thank you for the podcast Dr. Monty.

I’m going to miss your voice and your perspective on health and fitness. It’s the perspective that most of mainstream medicine appears to share, but with the amount of fringe information out there it was reassuring to hear “boring statistics” from you. Personally, I don’t find reality or outcomes from science based analysis boring at all, but yeah, I can see how it can be a tough sell in a world of crystal healing, weight loss pills, and catchy diet fads.

For myself, I’m pretty decent with diet and nutrition, but that can always be improved of course. In my case you’ve been preaching to the choir, but I found it beneficial to have the positive reinforcement of your podcast and learn some more along the way.

As a runner, I do need to work on mixing up my exercise program as you often suggest. In the near future, I’m going to join a gym to do a little weight training and some yoga classes. I tried one class already and it was pretty cool. My financial situation is tight right now, so I don’t have funds to spread around for fitness and no, it's not the usual excuse to put off a fitness program, things really suck for me money wise right now. Its one reason I’ve always stuck to running, I just need a pair of running shoes and I’m good for about a year.

For what it’s worth, some of my favorite episodes were the ones where you just called up the authors behind a certain study and had a good discussion. They weren’t dietary gurus, authors of bestsellers, or even much of public speakers, they were just scientists doing their job and you gave them an opportunity to talk about their findings. Great stuff.

All the best for whatever you have in mind for the future!
Best of luck!

Wow, incredible to find that you're ending these podcasts. They've been such a constant companion to me over the past three years, and you've been the "friend" I send people to when they're looking for down-to-earth advice on living healthfully from a doctor who both follows the latest medical scientific research and can explain the challenges in getting that new information applied down the information chain from researcher to practicing physician to patient.

I'm glad you're still producing media, and I'll be eagerly anticipating the results of your video project.

Cheers,
Naomi
