Flybird has been in the weight bench business for 20 years, and this adjustable bench is one of their best sellers. Heavy duty construction makes the bench stable, and the padding makes it comfortable. It has several adjustments, takes up very little space, and folds up when you’re done.

Quick Facts

Weight capacity750 lb
Positions8 backrest positions, 96 total combo settings
SizesLarge or Extra Large
FrameAlloy steel, 3x reinforced triangle structure
Weight23 lb

What I Liked

  • 750 lb rated capacity — among the highest in this cluster
  • Folds to 31.5″ x 12.6″ x 11.85″ — small enough to fit under a bed
  • Commercial-grade steel frame, leather seat and back pads, 1.8″ foam padding

What I Didn’t Like

  • No dedicated leg extension or preacher curl attachment

Angles and Adjustability

The FLYBIRD gives you 8 backrest positions and 96 total combo settings between the backrest and seat, so you can strengthen every muscle in your body with real precision. The structure they chose is reinforced triangles, so it’s more stable in the adjustment for each angle of the bench. The axle has a nice deep notch that locks in with a pin. I haven’t seen any other bench like that. Pair it with a set of good quality dumbbells and you’re in business.

Dimensions and Fit

This one comes in a Large and an Extra Large, so it should fit everyone, whether you’re short or tall — a real fix over the single-size version this review used to cover. The base is really wide and flat so it’s gonna be stable, and what’s really interesting is that the backrest has two bars that attach to the angle bracket, which makes this even more stable to prevent wobbling. It’s a bench you can easily do dumbbell presses, flys, military presses, dumbbell rows, decline presses, or decline sit-ups on.

Build Quality

This bench is made of alloy steel with a 3x reinforced triangle frame, tested to a certified 750 lb capacity. The pads are covered in sweat-proof textured leather.

There is a pull pin that helps you adjust the positions on your bench, and it is simple and fast and it locks into place for safety. The makers of this bench are proud of their product and to prove it they offer you a 1 year warranty on the frame and a 30 day warranty on the pads.

This is the great features of this weight bench. It comes ready to use right out of the box, no screwdriver, no hammer, no plyers, just unpack it and get busy.

Who This Is For

It’s just an all-around great bench at an entry price.

Alternatively, I wrote a complete guide on the best Adjustable Weight Bench you can purchase for your home gym that compares various models. Lastly, if you are a serious athlete or simply want the best money can buy then don’t waste time and look at the Rogue Adjustable Bench.

Bottom line: the FLYBIRD is the best bang for the buck because of the price and how well this bench is built. Even though it’s priced really low, they went above and beyond to have the qualities of a really heavy duty bench that supports up to 750 pounds. If you’re limited on space, it folds up small enough to slip under an end table or under your bed, and now with Large and Extra Large sizing, it fits shorter and taller lifters both.
